I had too shoot some cutaways on a rainy day, so I made this mini raincoat for our Kodak zi8 camera. Find a suitable sized bag and cut a hole for the lens (just big enough). Use elastic bands or hairbands (longer lasting) to attach the bag. Get some foldable plastic (like the blanks in DVD-R packaging), cut slots for the elastic band and fold it over to make a rain hat for the camera, to keep water out of the lens hole. I used this setup just prior to making this video; the camera was dry, the footage was good, despite big drops splashing right on the DVD raincover. Don't try this underwater though!
